IFFTI EXCHANGE INITIATIVE
The goal of IFFTI Exchange Initiative is to facilitate the transfer of research / educational / pedagogical / knowledge between and among IFFTI member institutions and individuals.
This is achieved through faculty, staff, and post-docs conducting short-term visits to other schools; sharing perspectives, collaborating and learning about different approaches to fashion education and/or research from their colleagues around the world.

IFFTI Exchange Initiative – Encouraging Global Exchange in Fashion Education and Research
The IFFTI Exchange Initiative is a dedicated program designed to stimulate short-term academic visits by faculty from IFFTI member institutions. These visits are aimed at collaborating, presenting or advising on specialized areas of fashion education and research, thus enabling a global exchange of ideas, practices, and knowledge.
This honorarium-based program facilitates travel both within regions and across continents. Depending upon the geography of the visit, we award grants of US$1,500 for intra-continental and US$2,500 for inter-continental proposals. Applications are assessed by our selection Committee.Upto five selected candidates will be provided with the grant each year as part of the IFFTI Exchange Initiative.
Our Education Initiatives Subcommittee and Research Subcommittee firmly believe in the enriching potential of these visits. By fostering exchanges between and among our member institutions,we aim to inform and advance the research, pedagogical, and skills development work of individual members.
